Design and Brand Coordinator

Introduction

The Design and Brand Coordinator will work closely with our creative Marketing team to develop and produce all Theatre Royal design assets. Working on a wide range of exciting projects, you will work from concept stage all the way through to complete design visuals and you will create all assets required to deliver across multiple platforms.

This new role will also work closely with the Head of Marketing, and wider leadership team, to maintain and implement our brand guidelines, ensuring exceptional quality and brand consistency across the whole organisation; from signage, stationary, advertising campaigns to social media content… you will have a close eye on it all!

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, dynamic, and has a can-do attitude. You will need to be a whizz on Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and have an understanding of video editing. An impeccable attention to detail is essential. You will need to be able to work to tight deadlines – we’re a small but creative team with lots of ideas that we need you to bring to life.

Duties and responsibilities

Marketing

  • To be responsible for devising, creating and designing a diverse range of in-house content and promotional marketing materials including season brochures, leaflets, posters and signage.
  • Editing and art-working supplied imagery from all visiting shows, within the boundaries set by producers.
  • Oversee the design requirements of a project from start-to-finish, providing concepts, drafts and final assets as per the agreed timeline.
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure designs are aligned with other methods of communication within the organisation keeping a consistency throughout all marketing collateral.
  • Produce digital assets for use across our website, social media and other platforms, ensuring high quality and consistency across all channels.
  • Liaise with suppliers and printers as required.

Brand

  • Draft, maintain and oversee the implementation of brand guidelines for all areas of the organisation.
  • Maintain an inventory of all brand-related assets and materials to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Assist in the on-going development of the brand strategy and analyse its effectiveness.
  • Oversee all displays and branding front of house, ensuring that the building is a welcoming, inclusive and exciting environment to visit for audiences, companies and staff at all times.
  • To support all departments with any design work, ensuring consistency across the organisation within our brand guidelines.
  • Lead meetings and communicate with other departments to understand and advise on design needs within the organisation; draft design briefs and work with departments to develop a series of designs and templates.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to maintain a work schedule of all current and upcoming projects, ensuring deadlines are met and the workload is prioritised effectively.
  • Source and create libraries of images that can be used by the whole organisation. Maintain accurate records, including any consent and use documentation.
  • Advise on any copyright issues.

General

  • Support the marketing team to deliver on sales targets.
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to ensure that resources are managed as effectively as possible in line with the design budget.
  • Monitor industry/competitors' branding activity and keep up to date with emerging technologies and design styles, ensuring the highest quality standards are consistently met.
  • Attend meetings, launches and other events/activities as required.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required to help promote and develop the organisation.

Duties as a member of the Theatre Royal team

Hours of work

Full time - 39 hours per week. We offer hybrid working in this role.

Salary

This position is salaried at £28,500 per annum.
