About the Role

This role exists to support Theatre Royal’s mission and strategy by contributing your skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver excellent outcomes for the organisation and our audiences.

The Head of Creative Engagement is a vital role within our Creative Development programme, which comprises of work with young people, communities, schools, talent development, artist development and new work. The post holder will work closely with the Director of Creative Development and the other Department Heads across the organisation. The Head of Creative Engagement advocates for, and ensures, collaborative working across Creative Development Programmes and the wider organisation, progressing the delivery and development of inclusive and ambitious creative programmes.

Key Responsibilities

· Leadership and planning of the Creative Engagement and Creative Futures programmes

· Supporting the delivery of the Creative Growth programme

· Overseeing relationships and the delivery of programmes with key partners and stakeholders, ensuring cohesion across Creative Development Programme activity

· Ensuring appropriate and regular internal and external communications, highlighting the opportunities available through Creative Engagement programmes and our community impact

· Supporting pathways between and across Creative Development Programmes

· Line managing the Creative Engagement Producer, Creative Futures Producer and Creative Engagement Coordinator

· Supporting the Creative Producers in developing and embedding relationships outside of the building, with peers, stakeholders and across communities

· Ensuring accurate record keeping, analysis and monitoring of all Creative Engagement and Creative Futures programmes, supporting with the Creative Growth programme

· Creating and overseeing the Creative Engagement and Creative Futures budgets, allocating all income and expenditure across these programmes

· Support fundraising and commercial opportunities that support the growth and development of creative programmes

As a Head of Department

· Develop and deliver departmental plans aligned with organisational strategy.

· Lead and support teams to achieve high standards of performance and creativity.

· Manage budgets, resources, and reporting within your area.

· Maintain oversight of compliance within your department, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, including health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection.

· Lead on implementing and monitoring statutory obligations and best practice in your area.

· Contribute to organisational decision-making and collaborative projects.

· Support a culture of learning, inclusivity, and innovation.

Hours

  • Full time 39 hours per week

  • £47,493.00
